Swan 2026 Season

Date: 1st January 2026 - 31st December 2026

January 13th – 24th  Swan Theatre Festival – see separate listing
March 16th – 21st     Pressure directed by Mark Payne
June 1944. One man’s decision is about to change the course of history. The Allied forces are poised for D-Day. The lives of 350,000 Allied troops are at stake. The decision whether to attack or not comes down to the most important weather forecast of all time. Pressure is an extraordinary and little known true story which thrillingly explores the responsibilities of leadership, the challenges of prophecy and the personal toll of taking a stand.
May 18th – 23rd      The Unfriend directed by Sarah Ambrose
After twenty years of marriage, Peter and Debbie are enjoying a cruise and a break from their annoying teenagers, when they meet a suspiciously          friendly fellow passenger named Elsa. Faster than you can say ‘Keep Calm and Carry On,’ she’s taken up residence in their suburban home.
July 20th – 25th       Home, I’m Darling directed by Judith Payne

Judy and Johnny live in a 1950s dream home. She is dressed like a prom queen; their house is a riot of terrible colour. She waves him off with a perfect smile and sits down at the kitchen table. Only when she opens a drawer and removes her laptop do we realise that this is the 21st century, and Judy’s seeming authenticity (she grows vegetables and makes marmalade) is profoundly artificial.

Sept 14th – 19th     Steel Magnolias directed by Robert Graydon

A young beautician, newly arrived in a small Louisiana town, finds work at the local salon, where a small group of women share a close bond of friendship, and welcome her into the fold.

Nov 16th – 21st     Much Ado About Nothing directed by Anna and Peter Carter-Brown

Shakespeare’s much-loved comedy of new beginnings. Since the 1930s, the legendary family-run Hotel Messina has been visited by artists, celebrities and royalty. When the current owner’s daughter falls for a dashing young soldier, the hallways are ringing with the sound of wedding bells. However, not all the guests are in the mood for love, and a string of deceptions soon surround not only the young couple, but also the steadfastly single Beatrice and Benedick.
