The Swan Theatre Company is celebrating 16 nominations in the
annual Somerset Fellowship of Drama Phoebe Rees awards.
Nominations include Best Actress - Lyn Lockyer for The Secret
Lives of Henry and Alice, male cameo - Shaun Driver, Supporting
Actor - Paul Reakes, Actor - Ben Woof, Direction - Sarah
Ambrose, and Production for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead.
The group's production of Rebecca received ten nominations for Best Sound, Costumer, Effects, Set Design, Artistic Impression, Male Cameo - Ron Blake, Supporting Actor - Ian White, Actress - Christine Yardley, Direction - Paul Reakes, and Overall Best Production. The awards ceremony took place in Wellington on Friday 19 October and many congratulations go to Chris Yardley who won Best Actress for her chilling portrayal of Mrs. Danvers in ‘Rebecca’ and Andy Taylor and Kingsley Hancock for the ‘Magic Moment’ award for the final fire effect in the same play. |
