Swan Theatre

We haven’t organized a trip for a little while due to having been involved with the foyer project, but now that is (almost!) out of the way we have been looking at what is being produced in various theatres over the next few months.  We have identified one show that we think people might like and that is “The Canterbury Tales”  at the Nuffield Theatre in Southampton.  We went to this fabulous little theatre for our last outing and had an absolutely wonderful time.

The matinee is on Saturday 1^st May and, as usual, we will leave around 9am with time for a bit of shopping/lunch before the show, and return around 7pm.  You will all know the plot of course so no need to tell you what it is about!  In the schedule it says it “is the perfect play for this charismatic company of multi-talented actors.  Audiences have constantly delighted in their infectious exuberance and enthusiasm unmatched by any other company.”

We will need to book tickets fairly soon so if you would like to have a lovely day out in Southampton – shopping, nice lunch, good show, pleasant company (and no worries about driving or parking) – please let us know as soon as possible.  The tickets, including the coach, will be £25 per person.  As ever, due to the cost of coach travel, we will need at least 25 people interested in order to make the trip viable.
